Our exclusions and Inclusion criteria are list below.
Exclusion Criteria
We cannot accommodate young people currently in crisis. We can accept a young person who has not engaged in life threatening behaviours in the form of self-harm / suicidal behaviours which did or should have necessitated medical review in the last three months
We do not accommodate severe learning disability as that is just not a specialism of EDA. A young person with mild to moderate learning disability will be assessed on an individual basis
We do not accept young people who are in active acute psychosis.
Young People who pose a risk to others through acts of aggression/abusive behaviours
Young people who have any form of illicit drug or alcohol addiction
Inclusion criteria:
Young people who are autistic with or without a formal diagnosis who struggle with self-harm and historic suicidality and any difficulties associated with emotion dysregulation
Young people who are or should be on the dynamic support register with NHS England
Young people who are autistic with or without a formal diagnosis who are leaving inpatient mental health units
Young people who are autistic with or without a formal diagnosis who require early intervention before they reach mental health crisis level
